"The Small Side Of Life" A Miniature Exhibition At Pinnell Gallery (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Over 50 Southern California artists are exhibiting in the Pinnell Gallery's exhibition "The Small Side of Life", a miniature painting show to benefit the Fallbrook School of the Arts, a non-profit arts education facility. The maximum size of these tiny beauties is only 8 inches by 10 inches!
The show has a two-fold mission, first as a chance for professional artists to help future artists by donating their entry fees to a great art program at the Fallbrook School of the Arts. Secondly, it is a venue for artists from all over southern California to come to Fallbrook and experience their great art community. Several of the students' art works will grace the front window of the gallery during the show.
"As a non-profit arts education facility we are very grateful to Rich Stergulz Fine Art, Jennifer Paprock of Pinnell Gallery and all the participating artists for producing this show that will benefit the children's programs at the Fallbrook School of the Arts", said Director Brigitte Schlemmer.

Brandon Gallery Presents Printmaker Freda Fairchild (10:00 AM)
Freda Fairchild, an internationally acclaimed printmaker, is the featured artist at Fallbrook's Brandon Gallery during September, capping a month-long series of regional workshops and special showings by the San Diego and North County Printmakers Association. Fairchild, a former San Diego resident and co-founder of the printmaking association, resides in Paducah, Kentucky.
Over the past 20 years her work has won awards throughout the United States and Europe. In addition to producing and displaying artistically intriguing prints, Fairchild has taught art at the secondary and college levels. Her work is represented in private collections that include the National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, D.C.), Grunewald Center for the Graphic Arts (UCLA, Los Angeles) and the Athenaeum Music and Arts Gallery (LaJolla, CA).
Brandon Gallery is the only place her art will be on display for the entire month of September. Other venues highlighting printmaking include the Fallbrook Art Center (www.fallbrookartcenter.org) and the Fallbrook School of the Arts (www.fallbrookschoolofthearts.org) where Fairchild will conduct workshops and demonstrate printmaking.
