Founded in 1985, the St. Petersburg Quartet is one of Russia's leading ensembles, named after the historic city in which it was founded.  "You might think that discipline, passion and impetuousness inhabit different universes, but the St. Petersburg String Quartet has morphed the three into a powerful musical persona."  (Joan Reinthaler, the Washington Post).
